Rick Foster recounts in the Huffington Post what happened to his health markers after cutting sugar for a year. Amongst other things, he reports:
- Weight: 25lb reduction without dieting
- Blood pressure: 137/88 –> 105/72
- Triglycerides: 141–> 78
- Glucose: 109–> 78
- Other: Rick notes other improvements in everything from energy levels to focus to sleep.
While these are all expected results of a low carb diet, it’s a nice surprise to see such positive results solely from cutting out sugar. Kind of makes me wonder what the rest of his diet is like.
