Looks like Noam Chomsky is clued in to the dangers of sugar. Check out the 35 second mark of his talk, where he compares the lethality of marijuana vs. tobacco vs. sugar:
Nothing new for anyone likely to be reading this site, but it’s nice to see that this is understood by big thinkers like Noam.
Thanks go out to @garytaubes, who noted this back in April (and I’m just now getting around to seeing…
I am a great admirer of Noam Chomsky so it is always fascinating to know what these higher intellectuals do in their every day life when it comes to basic things like food….wise choice. I agree Gary Taubes restarted the sugar debate in recent times but for me the real pioneers are people like Prof John Yudkin (much referenced by Taubes anyway) who really were ahead of their time and had to put up with a lot of stick from peers and the food industry for alerting everybody that the emperor was actually naked…sugar is bad for us all!
Amen to that. One of the happier days in recent memory was that Pure, White and Deadly had been republished and I could order it through Amazon.
Now I just have to finish my current book… 😛

Important note that SUGAR is more harmful than tobacco. I know this to be true for me. Wish more professional would expound on the dangers of sugar.
